Bringing Out The Best In Every Child

School Meals

Catering Supervisor - Mrs Collins

Cook - Mrs Collins

Assistants - Mrs Shimwell, Mrs Buckley, Miss Matthews, Mrs McHale

All our school meals are cooked fresh on site, using the best and freshest ingredients possible. Each portion is appropriate to the child’s age and size. Children have a choice of main courses, including wraps and sandwiches, a salad bar and a choice of dessert, including fruit and yoghurts. As a healthy school Children are served water with their meal. All our menu's are in line with National Food standards for schools.

When your child goes for lunch then she/he will dine in the school hall with other children from their class and with children from their year group. Children sit at a table with their friends, including children who may be older and younger. Children chat, find out about each other and learn to care for each other. The children are supervised by lunchtime supervisors and support staff.

From time to time we have a ‘Special Menu Day’ such as the annual Bonfire Meal. These special days are opened up to the whole school and this allows children who normally bring a packed lunch to try a school meal.

Our menus will be reviewed regularly and hopefully with feedback from the children, we can establish healthy, tasty meal options that the children enjoy eating. Please encourage your child to let us know if there is something they have liked or disliked.

Please use plastic containers (not bottles). We prefer children to drink from a cup or through a straw (not straight from a bottle). Please ensure packed lunches are healthy and well balanced. Being a healthy school we do not allow fizzy drinks or sweets.

Due to allergies in school, we would ask that nuts are not included in your child's lunch.

Refreshments/Snacks

Milk and fruit is available to our youngest children (Reception, Year 1 and Year 2) free of charge. We encourage all children to bring fruit to school for a snack during the day.
