World Book Day
This year the children have celebrated World Book Day by participating a range of activities. We started the day with an assembly which explored finding time for reading and how this can be achieved. The children had lots of ideas, including listening to audio books when out and about, reading blogs when they had a busy week ahead. and reading and discussing books with a friend.
The children in EYFS and Key Stage 1 explored the books by Julia Donaldson whilst key Stage 2 explored books from different cultures, including The Day of Ahmed's Secret.
The children also enjoy dressing up as their favourite characters, sharing their treasured books and authors with their friends and reading books and their own poems to the younger children.
