Welcome to Year 1

Year 1 is made up of two classes, taught by Mr Fielden and Mrs Crabtree. We share the support of Mrs Bell and Mrs Robinson, who assist individuals or small groups of children throughout the day.

 
In Year 1 we aim to build on the knowledge and skills gained in Foundation Stage and encourage children to become increasingly independent in the way they think and learn. During the Autumn Term children are still able to access a curriculum, which provides opportunities for continuous provision which promotes independent learning.
