Musical Theatre
Littleborough Primary School runs a successful musical theatre group, consisting of Key Stage 1 and 2 children. The children attend practises throughout the week and perform in school assemblies and at our music evening. They have also taken part in the Rochdale Youth Festival of Performing Arts since 2017. This year more than thirty Key Stage 2 children attended the festival and performed songs from Oliver, including I'd Do Anything and Food Glorious Food. The children successfully won the competition for the third year in a row. The children also performed in this year's Pop Group category and won.
On Thursday 2nd May 2019, the Musical Theatre Group were invited to perform at Rochdale Town Hall in a celebration concert. At the end of the concert, We were announced as winners of the Fred Bowker trophy which the children won last year. Another successful outing for such incredible children. The children performed three songs: A Whole New World from Aladdin, Come so Far from the musical Hairspray and ended with a fantastic performance of Consider Yourself from Oliver.
