Anti-Bullying Week
This year the theme is Change Starts With Us - Small change. Big difference.
Whether it is verbal, physical, online or in-person, bullying has a significant impact on a child’s life well in to adulthood. By making small, simple changes, we can break this cycle and create a safe environment for everyone. Together, we can challenge bullying.
The children have been involved in a range of activities, all of which can be viewed by watching our powerpoint. The activities include, working together to make friendship bracelets, exploring what makes a good friend and how we are all unique. Year 5 have explored how they are the generation who will change our planet. They discussed how we can start now through little changes, like asking someone how their day has been. They also explored different bullying scenarios relating to cyber bullying, physical bullying and social bullying and how this can affect our mental well being. Year 4 explored perception and learnt that perception is the way we see and understand things. We have made a pledge to think carefully before we judge others and to step back from tricky situations to view it from another perspective.
